WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY ON FILM
Recently, I have had guests at weddings ask me the difference between film and digital photography. The feeling of film photography is nostalgic and tangible. There is a sense of anticipation and excitement that comes with waiting to see how a particular shot turns out, as opposed to the instant gratification of digital photography. Wedding film photography allows for a more hands-on approach, as the photographer must be more thoughtful for each shot. This tactile experience can be very satisfying and immersive. Additionally, there is a certain charm and character to film photos, with their unique color palettes and grain, that can evoke a sense of nostalgia and vintage appeal. Weddings are a magical time for photography. Using 35mm film adds a layer of tangibility & nostalgia which, to me, allows the emotions, colors, and ambiance to come through.
